When I adopted my first dog in 2014, I soon realised that there were no affordable pet accessories available in pet shops in Dublin. I asked for a sewing machine for Christmas that year and began to make bandanas for Kirby. After adopting a saluki cross in 2018, I realised that it’s even harder to shop for greyhounds and lurchers. Very few Irish shops stock hound collars, or clothing that suits their slim body shape. My only option was to shop online and import from the UK, so I decided to make my own greyhound bandanas as well as snoods, jumpers, pyjamas and collars.

Soon, friends and family began to request bandanas for their pets, passers-by complimented me on my work, and I was encouraged to make them available commercially. In 2020 I participated in a range of local markets. People seem to like my products and I would now like to make them more available to everyone.

All my products are handcrafted with love. They’re high quality, affordable and unlike other, more expensive bandanas I have seen, actually stay on! Red Squirrel bandanas slide over the collar, so there’s no risk of losing them.
